Bitter, Sweet Book Trailer

If you’ve ever put together a book trailer or anything of that nature, you can appreciate the amount of time and work that goes into producing one. Without my daughter’s help this trailer would never have happened. I’m quite pleased with the results. Once again…Thanks Mel!

  1. Very nice, Laura! This is the first “book trailer” I’ve ever seen…

  2. Thanks Wendy. It’s a lot of work, a lot of tweaking. I wouldn’t be able to consider doing this on my own.

  3. That’s amazing. You and your daughter did an excellant job. I wouldn’t know how to post a video on my blog much less create one.

    • I’m afraid I’m in the same boat as you, Tricia. I know nothing about posting on youtube.Since I’m visiting with my daughter for the week we used the opportunity to put the trailer together. My only input was deciding what I wanted. Mel did all the work. :) Miss Charlotte and I stood on the sidelines watching.

    Laura,
    Wonderful!

I loved all the pushes, pulls, and pans you did with all the photos and the sephia tone captured the essence of the storyline and time period.

Perfect choice of font as well! Plus, I loved that you didn’t cover up the photos with the words.

    I really loved this trailer!

    • Thanks Christi, so nice of you to say so. It was just done with Windows movie maker which allows you to do some neat things. Technology is wonderful, isn’t it?

  8. Wow! Laura, this is WONDERFUL! I really felt pulled into the ‘feel’ of the story. If I hadn’t already read my (signed by you) copy I would be buying it now.
Congratulations! I am tweeting about this –

    • That’s so sweet of you, Lynn. Feel free to promote the book all you want. :) The trailer was more of a fun thing to do than anything else, and it was great brainstorming as we worked to get everything the way we wanted it. I would never have imagined the amount of work that goes into a trailer.

  9. This is a great trailer, Laura. It’s short and concise but still captures the mood and period very well. If I hadn’t already read BITTER, SWEET I’d certainly be enticed. Well done!

    • So sweet of you to say so, Carol. We had a basic idea in mind but ideas developed as we went along. (Not unlike writing, actually.) Looking for the perfect wording, the right amount of words, and exactly how much or how little to tell about the story was challenging, as well as all the technical things which my daughter looked after than goodness. My daughter must be a genius! lol
