Winning’s Not Everything But It Sure Feels Good

Guess what arrived in my mailbox today?

Two great books from Canadian author, kc dyerA Walk through the Window & Facing Fire–signed, I might add. Sweet!

Remember back in October when I mentioned that Ev Bishop was giving away some copies of kc’s book on her blog? Well guess who also entered? It wasn’t a difficult thing to do. Just left a comment on Ev’s blog. Bet you’re wishing you had, too! I don’t consider myself a winning sort of person, so you can imagine my delight when Ev emailed me awhile back to say I’d hit the jackpot! Not one, but two of kc’s books. Okay, so I’m going on about it, but I can hardly wait to start reading these two YA novels.
Facing Fire is the sequel to A Walk Through the Window.

Thanks kc and Ev! I’m totally delighted with my winnings. Can hardly wait to dig in.

    • It’ll probably be awhile before I get to these. My TBR pile is huge. But if I get anxious I’ll move them up to the top of the pile..

Sorry to hear you didn’t win Laura but nice to see you are being gracious about it. I wouldn’t expect anything less of you though. We didn’t win at the MSN awards either–but we weren’t expecting to since we don’t tour or record in Nashville. That certainly isn’t to take away from the lady who did. She is working very hard at what she does and deserved the win. It is, even though it sounds like a cliche, an honor to be nominated, though isn’t it? And I know we will both keep plucking along with what we do regardless of awards because we love it and we have to.

    • Thanks Penny. Gracious? I don’t know any other way to be. The other nominees are terrific authors, being included with them is something special for me.

I was so thrilled that you were nominated for a music award, and it is a honor, but you’re right. We do what we do regardless of any awards. I couldn’t imagine not writing!

    • Welcome to my blog, Jodi, and thanks for leaving a comment.! Lottery tickets and I don’t seem to get along for some unknown reason. I leave the ticket buying to my husband.
