My Hallmark Moment

Who would have thought that Bitter, Sweet would make it into a Hallmark movie?

You might have to look closely ..

The movie, November Christmas, was filmed in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, and while I knew some Nimbus books had been requested for the set, no one knew for sure which ones might make a cameo appearance.

Yup, that’s my book alright!!

Gotta say, this is pretty darn sweet!!

  7. That’s wonderful, Laura. What a fun discovery! I get excited when I hear one of my cousin’s songs in a commercial or movie, and I didn’t even write it. 🙂 Those excerpted pictures should be treasured additions to your celebrity scrapbook.

    • I have to say, this was totally unexpected. I knew some Nimbus books had been bought for the movie, and several others were shown as well.

What a neat thing to have happen. Maybe Bitter, Sweet will make it to its very own Hallmark movie. Is anyone out there listening? Congratulations, Laura.

  18. What’s funny is that my husband was at a shop in Wolfville one evening this week and the clerk there was excited and telling him about the Hallmark movie that had been filmed there and shown on TV. The camera crew had used their shop some of the time for its vantage point. I was able to tell him your book was in that movie.
My gosh, Laura! It is amazing to me how much publicity your book has received, you must be so thrilled! Congratulations!

    • It’s strange, Lynn, because I wasn’t even aware that a movie was being filmed in Wolfville until right before it aired.

My book seems to be showing up in the strangest places..Sweet!

To you Laura Best. Besides, it’s a wonderful life, my husband and I think this is our favorite Christmas movie. It is heart wrenching and heart warming. To get Sam Elliott to play a lead. How lucky you made it and how lucky we are to read the book and see the movie. You are blessed. Happy Christmas’s forever.
