Treasure is a very good word. I’ve been thinking all day and wondering why a nest of eggs gladdens the heart. But it really does. I’m hoping to go back to get some photos of the babies so stay tuned. I wonder how long it takes robin eggs to hatch? Hmmm
We have a robin’s nest with three lovely blue eggs in our porchlight. I keep checking for hatchlings, but none yet. Yes, a genuine treasure. Please keep us posted on the progress.
My girlfriend down the road has a next attached to her window. On the inside of the house they have a slip of cardboard so they can lift it up and take a peek at the babies after they hatch. It is so wonderful to watch them from birth to the day they leave the nest. Really remarkable.
I bet they’ll get some nice photos. Great way to watch them grow. Baby birds are so helpless. I’m hoping for a few shots of these at different intervals.
