Happy Anniversary to Me

You never know what to expect in life. Sometimes things happen without a bit of notice. Other times we have to look a bit more closely to see the true picture.

There was a time when I never expected to be blogging. I started out feeling self-conscious and totally out of my element, but here I am celebrating the second year for this blog. I’ve *met* some pretty wonderful people these past two years and have had the opportunity to share a bit of my writing journey with you, as well as follow yours.

I love the comments you all leave and the chance to respond to them. It’s a great way to get to know you better. For me, that’s important. For those of you out there who read but do not comment you’re also important, and if you find anything of interest or value in my words then that makes me happy. 🙂

Yesterday on twitter, I mentioned needing some good vibes sent my way so if you could see your way into adding yours, as well, it would be greatly appreciated.

So Happy Anniversary to Laura Best, Author. This blog is officially entering the terrible twos. Who knows what will happen? Whatever it is let’s hope it’s great.

  11. I will have one year July 31. 252 posts. I am so glad I have this dimension in my life. There are dozens of people from all over the world with whom I wish I could spend hours and hours on a shady porch just chatting away.

  12. Happy second blogoversary, Laura, and whatever good vibes you need, I’m sending lots your way. (Happy first day of summer, too.) I love that graphic with its delightful hidden picture. Life does indeed have lots of surprises. I’m approaching my third blog anniversary, and until I had a few months of blogging behind me I wouldn’t have said there was a lot of advantage in it for me. But the writing has been a worthwhile experience — even a little addictive — plus I’ve found the support from other writers online is amazing. Here’s to more good years for both of us. 🙂

    • Thanks, Carol. Your good wishes and good vibes mean SO much. At the moment i’m trying very hard to look be pleasantly surprised by life. It’s a big chore, but I think I’m up to the challenge. There are many advantages to blogging. I, too, have discovered that these past two years. Such a wonderful group of bloggers and readers out there. What did we ever do to deserve them? 😉

  19. Congratulations!!! Wow, two years. That is awesome. It’s funny how I still feel self-conscious blogging but I keep going. Today I nearly cried when I noticed I lost a follower. 😦 I know, it could have been for any reason but I took it personal.

I’m sending extra special angelic good vibes to you. I hope everything goes well.

    • Thanks, Ciara. Followers do come and go. But you can also bet there are people who have your blog bookmarked and return often even though they aren’t listed as followers.

I love your blog! Thanks for the good vibes all around. It seems to have done the trick..:)

  20. I think two years is a long time in the blogosphere. I wouldn’t say it matters a lot but certainly it is a cause for celebration. so congrats!

I’m one of the few that don’t comment much. I think other people express their opinions better than I do, so sometimes if I see other people had say what I wanted to say, I wouldn’t want to repeat it.

    have a lovely, lovely day.

  21. Thanks, Lissa. I still feel like a very small fish in a large pond, but I’m hanging in there. 🙂 I have some blogs that I read and never comment for exactly the same reason. Others I comment on occasionally, and more than I comment on quite often. It all depends.
