Not a Blog Post

I’d been planning all week to write a blog post….. but it didn’t happen.
I got busy and, well….. it just didn’t happen.
Family came to visit, not to mention that I work everyday. Throw in an appointment or two, grocery shopping, a trip to the zoo, one picnic, two blueberry pickings, a marshmallow roast, a trip to Digby , some writing and….it just didn’t happen.
I can assure you the post I had planned was quite clever, a real discussion-maker, the subject being something I’d been planning to write about for some time now, but….
As you can see…..it didn’t happen.

That’s all I have to say at the moment…Hopefully, I’ll pull that blog post together for next week because, as you can see, this week…..it just didn’t happen.

So, tell me what your week was like. Did you do anything different, read a book, go some place special? Because if you’re looking for a post here…

It just didn’t happen.
And…
This is NOT a blog post.
Now it’s your turn…..

    • Luckily, it’s not every day that someone writes a blog post about not writing a blog post. I’d been trying to post at least once a week and this past week has been SO busy. But I couldn’t resist being a bit silly. 😉

  2. You are funny, Laura. I’ve had a lot of blog posts that just didn’t happen. Life happened instead. Blessings to you…

  3. Ha! I’ve been doing a lot of that this summer, too… not posting, that is. During my holiday time it was justified because I had no electricity, no phone or internet there. Other weeks I’ve just chosen to focus on other things. I resorted to using the scheduling option of WordPress and featured some of my photographs — no ‘words of wisdom’ per se, but hopefully some compensation for those who ventured onto my blog during my absence. I guess we can’t stay idle indefinitely though, can we? 🙂

    • I love the scheduling feature with WordPress and have been using it quite a bit lately. It helps make me feel less rushed. I’ve been trying to post once a week. For me, I like that. It feels doable.

I love your photos, Carol! You’re right it at least lets others know we’re still maintaining our blogs.

      • I started out aiming for three posts per week, and for years I was able to maintain it until I started noticing some days I was spending more time concocting a post than I was writing. Two a week is what I’ve tried to maintain since then, and that works okay for me except when I’m away… and I’m away a lot during the summer months.

  4. I enjoyed your blog today, and could really identify! Sometimes we need to put the whole blog business in perspective. I mean, how can we share our lives, if we don’t live them, and that includes living those times that are full to bursting with no time left for writing a blog. 🙂 Onward!

    • Thanks, Heather! Blogging is such a huge commitment, but I feel good knowing my blog is still alive and kicking even if I don’t get time to blog every week. 🙂

    • WE deserve a break every now and then, Joylene. If I’m lucky I’ll get a post together for next week. Not sure how many times I can post about nor posting. 😉

  6. Funny, it sure looks like a post to me. I see you had a picnic, gathered blueberries, had a marshmallow roast–you can’t do those very well in winter. Enjoy the time you have to spend with family/friends and then you can post about it!
