Our hearts grow tender with childhood memories and love of kindred, and we are better throughout the year for having, in spirit, become a child again at Christmas-time. ~Laura Ingalls Wilder
These past few weeks have been a very busy time. In keeping with the tradition I started many years ago, I’m scrambling to get all the Christmas preparations taken care of before the big day. Each year I vow that I’ll get my act together well before December and each year I stick with tradition. I am constant if nothing else.
But Christmas will come regardless. The important part is having the family near. I’ll be back blogging in the New Year and sharing all the news about my new book coming out in April 2017! Exciting times.
I hope your Christmas is filled with precious moments and that you are able to become a child again even for a few moments. Merry Christmas!
Do you have a favourite Christmas traditions?

/ December 21, 2016It is a very busy time and even when I have got ready earlier, I still scramble at the last minute. Maybe we like it that way. Thanks for taking the time to do a Christ mas post. I love the Laura Inglis quote and have borrowed it. Thanks! Merry Christmas!! Have fun with the family.xo

/ December 21, 2016We wanted to start a Christmas Eve supper tradition a number of years ago – barbequed hamburgers was what we chose, and we still enjoy those on the 24th! (organic when we can get it:)

/ December 21, 2016I never seem to leave quite enough time, so am often scrambling at the last minute — usually to finish wrapping something I had tucked away and almost forgotten. LOL. I’m surprisingly organized this year (so far), which is a good thing since all our family will be coming to stay. There will be thirteen staying here, and eighteen for Christmas dinner. I’m really looking forward to being all together. Blessings to you and your family, Laura. I hope your Christmas celebration is joy-filled.

/ December 30, 2016Can we now be waiting for the New Year? What happened? Christmas and our traditions went by way too fast. Yes, our tradition is to see The Nutcracker every year. Now we’ve added a granddaughter to the tradition. Even sweeter. Happy New Year!
