Cake anyone? It was delicious.

Lots of hugs that day. Here's my baby sister.

There my mum, second person in.
My next door neighbour. It always feels good to sign a book for a young person. About 95% of the books I sign are for adults.

  2. No shortage of Laura Best fans and family at this gala affair! So wish I could have attended! I’ll be purchasing several copies for Christmas gifts as well as for ME! And you looked lovely!

    • I agree, it would have been nice if you could have made it, since you’re practically family and all. 😉 But I certainly understand that you had other things going on Cate. 🙂

    • The cake was kind of neat! I hope you enjoy the book, and who knows maybe we’ll catch each other when I’m in the city for a book signing. 🙂

    • Thanks, Darlene. Yes, my assistant was bouncing about all day. She said she was going to be “the bell of the ball” with her pretty red dress. I’d say she was. 🙂

And, a cake to go with your book cover! My wife would say it’s too pretty to cut. That’s what she said about our wedding cake before she started slicing. 🙂

Congratulations on the successful book launch. It must’ve been an exciting day.

  7. Laura, I’m sorry to be late here; for some reason I am not receiving notice of your posts.
I was SO HAPPY to have been able to attend your launch, my very first one! It was such a gorgeous day so my husband and I had an enjoyable long drive to get there.
Congratulations on your book, which I read soon after buying it at your launch. I felt that the story wasn’t finished (as in it left me wanting more), so I’m glad there is more coming. 🙂
